Good afternoon, everyone! Welcome back to another ATL ReKap blog. I hope you're all doing well and enjoying a restful weekend. In week 9 of the NFL, the Falcons faced the Minnesota Vikings but fell short with a final score of 31-28.

Veteran QB Taylor Heinicke took the starting role, replacing second-year QB Desmond Ridder from the University of Cincinnati, who was benched after last week's loss against the Titans. Heinicke completed 21 out of 38 passes, gaining a total of 268 yards, throwing one touchdown and one interception.

Rookie RB Bijan Robinson from A&M had 11 carries for 51 yards, and second-year RB Tyler Allgeier from BYU carried the ball 12 times for 39 yards and scored a touchdown.

Jonnu Smith was a standout player in the offense, with 5 receptions for 100 yards, including an impressive 60-yard touchdown caught from the line of scrimmage all the way downfield. KhaDarel Hodge and Kyle Pitts also played pivotal roles in moving the ball downfield, as Drake London was sidelined due to a groin injury, accumulating a total of 116 yards.

Nate Landman continued to shine, amassing a total of 10 tackles along with a sack, and the Falcons managed to secure 4 sacks throughout the game.

The 4-5 Falcons are gearing up to face Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals at 4:05 PM EST. Join me for a recap after the game!

Additionally, the 4-2 Hawks are scheduled to take on the 3-3 Oklahoma City Thunder tonight at 8:00 PM EST. Stay tuned for a recap after that game as well!
