Good evening everyone and welcome back to another blog on ATL ReKap. I hope you all are having a wonderful day today as we welcome the final weekend of March. Today is an action-packed blog covering the Hawks matchup so let’s jump right into it.

Atlanta Hawks

Tonight, the Atlanta Hawks faced the Boston Celtics once again and took home their second win against the number one seed 123-122 in overtime. Dejounte Murray shot the game-winning point in OT, crossing up Jrue Holiday in the paint, with a step-back shot, dishing it in with just 0.01 seconds left in the regulation. State Farm Arena was full of energy and euphoria after Murray shot the game-winning point to take home yet another win against the Boston Celtics. Only two other teams have beaten the Celtics twice this season and the Hawks have officially become the third.

Not only did Murray shoot the game-winner, but he also hit a career-high 44 points going 18-44 from the field, and 6-19 from beyond the arch, as he was an absolute stud during tonight’s game. “Anotha One,” DJ exclaims going through the tunnel as other players hype him up saying, “Big 5 man, big 5,” “DJ a problem, that boys a problem.” Murray finished the game with seven rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and a block. I hope this energy continues on for a while as half of our starters are out due to their respective injuries.

Following Murray in scoring, Bogdan Bogdanovich put up a solid 24 points tonight going 9-19 from the field, and 2-8 from the three. Bogdanovich forced overtime in the fourth, tying the game to 112, with a wide-open three, hyping up the whole arena and team, putting everyone up on their feet, as their screams of joy echoed throughout. Bogi finished the game with seven rebounds, five assists, and a steal that took him from coast to coast finishing the play with a tough layup.

De’Andre Hunter shined at the 1 spot, putting up 21 points going 8-16 from the field and 5-9 from beyond the arch. And when I tell you Dre was cooking, he was cooking. Hunter dropped 14 in the third, and left and right he was shooting threes, and some of them fully contested. When Dre is cooking, you don’t mess with him. It’s so nice to see him coming back from the injured list like nothing happened to him. Hunter finished the game off with 13 rebounds, and an assist, making it a double-double night for him.

Clint Capela continued to help the team grab the board tonight, as he put up 13 rebounds scoring 12 points going 6-8 from the field, making that a double-double night for him as well. Capela had three assists, and two blocks as well.

Garrison Matthews led the bench in scoring putting up seven points, going 3-5 from the field, and 1-3 from the arch. In the second with nine minutes remaining, Matthews let his ball-handling skills take control after he sent a defender flying, and when I mean flying, per Shams Charania, he shares that he is on his way to Mars, as Matthews takes that into an advantage, shooting a wide-open middy.

Comically, Trae Young received a technical foul tonight for stepping onto the court in the middle of the game and it brought a good laugh out of us all

The Atlanta Hawks are set to face Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday evening at 7:30. The Bucks are favored to win 62% to 38% according to ESPN but I am determined that this will be a close game between the two. Stay tuned after the game for a recap!

As we conclude this blog, I extend warm wishes to each of you for a fantastic evening. Let's continue to embrace positivity and share love with our families and loved ones – they truly deserve it!
