Good evening, everyone, and welcome back to another ATL ReKap blog. I trust you're all having a fantastic end to the second week of December as the weather sets in. I hope you're staying warm and safe during this holiday season.

In tonight's game, the Atlanta Hawks triumphed over the Toronto Raptors with a score of 125-104. The standout performance came from Trae Young, who led the Hawks with an impressive 38 points. Young showcased his skills, going 15-29 from the field and hitting 7-15 from beyond the arch. In addition to his scoring, he contributed 11 assists and grabbed 5 rebounds. Notably, one of those rebounds led to a spectacular play where Trae, after a missed layup, secured the offensive rebound, outsmarted the defenders, and successfully made the layup on the second try. Young's three-point range was exceptional, including a shot from the logo and several from well beyond the arch. His lethal range demands respect from any defender.

Following Trae in scoring was Clint Capela, who contributed 18 points, going 9-12 from the field and pulling down an impressive 15 rebounds. Capela's dominance in the paint and ability to make crucial plays for the Hawks is truly captivating.

Dejounte Murray had a decent game, scoring 17 points on 8-18 shooting from the field. However, he struggled from the three-point range, making only 1 of his 6 attempts. Murray also added 7 rebounds, 9 assists, and a steal to his stat line.

Filling in for the injured DeAndre Hunter, Onyeka Okongwu had a solid performance, scoring 14 points on 6-7 shooting from the field, including 1-2 from beyond the arch. Okongwu also contributed 11 rebounds and a block.

Off the bench, Bogdan Bogdanovic shone with a 20-point performance, 15 of which came in the first half. Bogi displayed his skills, making all three of his seven contested 3-pointers and adding a clutch floater. His performance reinforces his reputation as the best bench player in the league.

Looking ahead, the Hawks are set to face Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers tomorrow night at 7:30 PM. The Cavs are currently favored to win at 52%, with the absence of DeAndre Hunter and A.J. Griffin due to their respective injuries. Stay tuned after the game, as this promises to be a close and exciting matchup.

The Braves have acquired LHP Ray Kerr, DH Matt Carpenter, and Cash from the Padres, the team announced. Welcome to the A, Matt Carpenter. Excited to see your role in the infield as well as in the DH position!
