Good evening, everyone! Welcome back to another ATL ReKap blog. I hope you're all enjoying a wonderful Saturday evening, especially with Christmas Eve just around the corner. Wishing you all a safe and warm holiday season, filled with quality time spent with your loved ones.

Tonight, the Hawks faced off against Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies, falling short with a final score of 125-119. Trae Young continues to impress, officially tying the lead for consecutive games with a 30-point, 10-assist performance at 7 games in a row. If Trae delivers on Tuesday night against the Bulls, he could break the record with 8 consecutive games.

Young led the Hawks in scoring tonight with 30 points, shooting 11-24 from the field and 3-10 from beyond the arc. Alongside his scoring, Trae contributed 5 rebounds, 13 assists, a steal, and a block. One standout play was in the fourth quarter when Young, while driving to the basket, faked a pass behind his back, confusing the defenders and passing it up to Onyeka Okongwu for an impressive slam.

Dejounte Murray followed Trae Young in scoring tonight with 26 points, shooting 10-15 from the field and 4-6 from beyond the arc. Murray also added 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals to his impressive stat line. Clint Capela put up 20 points, going 8-11 from the field, with 12 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 blocks.

Saddiq Bey contributed 14 points tonight, shooting 4-11 from the field and 3-9 from three-point range. Bey also grabbed 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Off the bench, Bogdan Bogdanovich led in scoring with 16 points, going 6-15 from the field and 2-8 from beyond the arc. A notable moment was when Ja Morant was guarding him in the paint, and Bogi shot the ball with one hand, amusing the crowd and securing two easy points for the Hawks. Bogi also recorded 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

Following Bogi in scoring off the bench, Onyeka Okongwu scored 10 points, going 5-10 from the field. Big O also contributed 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, and two blocks. One of the blocks was a highlight, deflecting Ja Morant's attempt and setting up a Trae Young floater.

Seth Lundy had a memorable moment, sinking his first three-pointer in the NBA tonight after Bogi set up a wide-open corner three opportunity for him.

Looking ahead, the Hawks are set to face Demar DeRozan and the Bulls on Tuesday night at 8:00 PM. According to ESPN, the Hawks are favored to win with a 54% to 46% probability. Stay tuned after the game for a recap!

Quick news regarding the Hawks: there are talks about trading Clint Capela and DeAndre Hunter before the trade deadline. Stay tuned on ATL ReKap for all your trade buzz and opinions.

I'll catch you all tomorrow, recapping the Falcons vs. Colts game. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
