Good evening, everyone, and welcome back to another ATL ReKap blog. I hope you're all enjoying your Saturday evening as we near the end of this Thanksgiving holiday.

In tonight's game, the Atlanta Hawks secured a convincing victory over the Washington Wizards, finishing with a score of 136-108. This win places the Hawks at 8-7 for the season and extends the Wizards' losing streak to nine games.

Trae Young continues to shine, bouncing back from his early-season struggles with an impressive performance, scoring 26 points. Young showcased his versatility, going 9-17 from the field and 5-8 from beyond the arc. Not only did he contribute offensively, but he also displayed excellent ball movement, finishing the game with 10 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals. An impactful moment included a behind-the-back fake to Bogi, resulting in a three-pointer and an additional free throw for a four-point play.

Deandre Hunter had a strong game, contributing 20 points, going 7-11 from the field, and making 3 out of 5 three-point attempts. Clint Capela dominated the paint, securing 11 rebounds and scoring 12 points on 6-14 shooting.

Despite Dejounte Murray's underwhelming performance, scoring 11 points on 4-14 shooting, he played a crucial role in facilitating the offense with 10 assists. Off the bench, Bogi scored 15 points, shooting 6-9 from the field and making all 3 of his three-point attempts.

The Hawks took control early, with Young and De'Andre Hunter hitting back-to-back three-pointers to establish a 12-point lead at halftime. They continued to dominate in the third quarter, outscoring the Wizards by 17 points, eventually leading by as many as 36 in the fourth. This victory marked the start of a five-game road trip and the first half of a back-to-back for the Hawks.

Hawks coach Quin Snyder expressed appreciation for the hard work NBA players put in, emphasizing the importance of giving them opportunities to play.

Looking ahead, the Hawks are gearing up to face the Boston Celtics tomorrow evening at 6 PM. The Celtics, with a 67% favorability, hold a 12-4 record this season, undefeated at home (6-0). Unfortunately, Jalen Johnson will miss the game due to a wrist injury sustained in tonight's matchup. Stay tuned for my post-game recap tomorrow.

Switching gears to college football, the Georgia Bulldogs extended their undefeated streak to 12-0 after defeating the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 31-23. Quarterback Carson Beck had a solid performance, going 13/20 for 175 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Running back Kendall Milton led the ground game with 156 yards and 2 touchdowns, supported by Daijun Edwards with 55 yards and a touchdown. Dominic Lovett and Dillion Bell made significant contributions in the receiving game.

Defensively, LB Smael Mondon Jr. and LB C.J. Allen stood out with 8 tackles each, while DB Tykee Smith and DB Malaki Starks followed closely with 7 tackles each. The Bulldogs are now gearing up for a highly anticipated matchup against the Alabama Crimson Tide next week to conclude the regular season before heading into the playoffs.

Lastly, in NFL action, the Falcons are set to face the New Orleans Saints tomorrow at 1 PM. Desmond Ridder is expected to reclaim the QB1 position, but WR Mack Hollins has been ruled out due to an ankle injury, and QB Taylor Heinicke is questionable. Tune in for my recap after tomorrow's game.
