Good evening, everyone! Welcome back to another ATL ReKap blog. I hope you're all enjoying a wonderful Thanksgiving evening, and I want to express my gratitude to each one of you for taking the time to read this.
Last night, the Hawks delivered an exciting performance, defeating the Brooklyn Nets in overtime with a final score of 147-145. This victory brings the Hawks' season record to 7-7. I'm thrilled to see Trae Young back in action, contributing significantly with 43 points. Young showcased his skills, going 12-31 from the field and 8-16 from beyond the arc. Notably, he scored 6 three-pointers in just the first quarter, a remarkable feat. Young's all-around performance included 4 rebounds, 9 assists, and 2 steals.
In the last two games, Trae Young has been on fire, accumulating 81 points, 17 assists, 13 three-pointers, 18-21 free throws, and 5 steals. His standout moment in the latest game was an insane three-pointer from the logo during overtime. Additionally, Young surpassed Joe Johnson for the second most 3-pointers in franchise history, reaching a total of 911.
Dejounte Murray also had an impressive game, scoring 20 points, going 6-21 from the field, and hitting 3-8 from beyond the three-point line. Murray's performance included 6 rebounds, 8 assists, and 2 steals. One of his remarkable assists involved a no-look pass to Clint Capela for an emphatic slam.
Deandre Hunter showcased his skills with 25 points, shooting 8-16 from the field and 2-7 from beyond the arc. He contributed 11 rebounds, a steal, and 2 blocks, earning him the title of UPS Unstoppable Player of the Game.
Clint Capela demonstrated his prowess with 14 points, an impressive 7-8 from the field, 15 rebounds, and 3 blocks. The bench players, Saddiq Bey and Big O played crucial roles by scoring vital points to maintain the Hawks' lead.
Bogdan Bogdanovic achieved a significant milestone off the bench by scoring his 2,000th career field goal. He contributed 14 points, going 5-15 from the field and 3-11 from beyond the arc.
Looking ahead, the Hawks are gearing up to face Kyle Kuzma and the Washington Wizards on Saturday night at 7:00 PM EST. The Hawks are currently favored to win with a 74% to 26% prediction. Join me after the game for a detailed recap!
