Good evening, everyone! Welcome back to another ATL ReKap blog. I hope you're all enjoying the early days of December, even as the winter weather starts to make its presence known here in Georgia. The unpredictable nature of Georgia's weather never fails to amaze me – one week, we're enjoying 70-degree temperatures, and the next, we're bundling up against the chill of the 30s. Please make sure to stay warm and cozy as winter officially settles in.

In today's pivotal SEC Championship clash at the Mercedes Benz Stadium in downtown Atlanta, the Georgia Bulldogs faced off against the formidable Alabama Crimson Tide. Regrettably, the Bulldogs fell short in a hard-fought battle, marking their first loss of the season with a final score of 27-24 in the last game of the regular season. Quarterback Carson Beck delivered an impressive performance, completing 21 out of 29 passes for a total of 243 yards. Running back Kendall Milton led the Dawgs in rushing, carrying the ball 13 times for 42 yards and scoring two touchdowns. Daijun Edwards followed closely with 10 rushes for 38 yards. Brock Bowers emerged as the receiving leader for the Dawgs, making 5 receptions for 53 yards. Arian Smith's crucial 51-yard reception was unfortunately his only catch of the game. Defensively, Malaki Starks and Smael London Jr. led the Dawgs with 8 tackles each. The Bulldogs conclude the season with an impressive 12-1 record, and we eagerly anticipate the release of the playoff schedule – stay tuned for updates!

Shifting our focus to the hardwood, the Atlanta Hawks faced a challenging matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks tonight, ultimately falling short with a final score of 132-121. Trae Young continued to showcase his brilliance, scoring 32 points on 13-28 shooting from the field, including 5-13 from beyond the arch. Young's playmaking skills were on full display with 12 assists, including a spectacular no-look pass to Clint Capela for a thunderous slam. The dynamic duo of Trae and Clint displayed a remarkable connection, contributing to several key plays and slams. Dejounte Murray also continued his stellar form, putting up 30 points on 12-19 shooting from the field, and 4-6 from beyond the arch. Murray's proficiency beyond the 20-foot line proved crucial in securing key points. In the first half alone, Young and Murray combined for an impressive 38 points. Clint Capela dominated the boards with 17 rebounds, adding 10 points for the Hawks. Saddiq Bey showcased his prowess from beyond the arc, going 4-6 and tallying 17 points. Wishing a happy birthday to Deandre Hunter, who scored 12 points tonight and had 2 steals on 3-10 shooting from the field. Star bench player Bogdan Bogdanovic scored 14 points, including a deep three for a buzzer-beater at the end of the third quarter, going 6-18 from the field and 2-7 from three. Looking ahead, the Hawks are set to face the Brooklyn Nets on December 6th at 7:30, with a 57% chance of victory. Be sure to stick around after the game for our recap!
