Good evening, everyone! Welcome to tonight's blog. What a thrilling evening it has been as the Braves have emerged from their slumber, drawing level with the Philadelphia Phillies in the NLDS at 1-1. In an intense matchup, the Braves clinched a 5-4 victory over the Phillies in game two of the NLDS.
Max Fried took the mound tonight, delivering a solid performance over four innings, allowing six hits, three runs, and tallying three strikeouts. While Fried's start tonight was decent, we've seen him perform even better in the past. Looking ahead, I'm optimistic about both Spencer Strider and Max Fried's next appearances, as they've now locked into the playoff mindset.

The Braves found themselves trailing early in the game when Alec Bohm singled on a line drive to center field, bringing the speedy shortstop Trea Turner home in the first inning. Then, in the third inning, catcher J.T. Realmuto launched one over the fence, putting the Phillies ahead 3-0. The gap widened in the 5th inning, with Bryson Stott's sacrifice fly bringing Castellanos home.
The turning point for the Braves came in the 6th inning when Wheeler walked Acuña, bringing Ozzie to the plate. On the first pitch, Albies singled on a line drive to right field. Acuña sprinted all the way to third, but an error by Trea Turner allowed Acuña to score, marking the first run and hit for the Braves that night.

In the following inning, catcher Travis d’Arnaud stepped up and hit a d’ArNUKE to left field, bringing Matt Olson along for the ride. Then, in the next inning, third baseman Austin Riley made a memorable appearance. You could practically feel the heat radiating off his bat through the TV screen, as he sent the ball soaring over the wall, securing a go-ahead homer in the bottom of the 8th.

As the game reached its climax, AJ Minter walked Bryce Harper, prompting the entrance of closer Raisel Iglesias, who executed a double play to close out the game. Iglesias delivered a pitch to Nick Castellanos, who drove the ball toward the wall. Center fielder Michael Harris II leaped up to secure the second out of the 9th, but an error prevented the play from concluding cleanly. Fortunately, Austin Riley was there to scoop the ball and make a swift throw to first, retiring Harper and sealing the game at 5-4.

Looking ahead, the Braves are geared up for game three of the NLDS against the Phillies in Philadelphia on Wednesday at 5:07 PM EST. Be sure to stick around after the game for the highlights.
