Good evening, everyone, and welcome back to ATL ReKap. In a thrilling showdown, the Braves emerged victorious with a 7-6 win in the 10th inning. Max Fried took the mound, delivering a commendable performance with 5 solid innings, allowing only 4 hits and a single run while striking out 6. Iglesias sealed the deal in the 10th, following a crucial go-ahead single by Eddie Rosario, which brought Forest Wall, the pinch runner, home from third.

The standout of the game was undoubtedly Matt Olson, who has been on a record-setting pace, now tying the franchise record with an impressive 51 home runs. Olson's powerful swing has been a sight to behold, particularly his ability to launch homers to the opposite field with such force and precision. It's a testament to his exceptional skill and strength.

Adding to the offensive fireworks, Ronald Acuña launched his 37th homer of the season, sending an absolute bomb to left field in the 5th inning, bringing Michael Harris home with him. Marcell Ozuna, serving as the designated hitter, also contributed with his 34th homer of the season, driving in Riley and Olson in the same inning.

The Phillies proved to be formidable opponents, showcasing their own power hitters like Bryce Harper and Trea Turner, both of whom sent balls soaring over the fences this series. Turner's leadoff homer in the bottom of the 9th forced the game into extra innings, setting the stage for the dramatic finish.
Looking ahead, we anticipate an exciting conclusion to the series against the Phillies tomorrow at 6:40 p.m., with Spencer Strider taking the mound. Despite facing some challenges in his last two outings, Strider remains a pillar of stability in our rotation, and I'm optimistic about his performance tomorrow. Join me after the game for another comprehensive blog on ATL ReKap.
