Good morning, fellow Dawgs! Welcome back to another recap. Today, we're diving into the Bulldogs' latest game. Yesterday, they dominated against UAB with an impressive 49-21 victory, propelling them to a 4-0 start for the season. This puts us on track for yet another championship, aiming for a three-peat after securing Back-to-Back titles in 2021 and 2022.
Our starting QB, Carson Beck, showcased his prowess, going 22/32 with an extraordinary 338 yards and 3 touchdowns. RB1, Daijun Edwards, made his mark with 12 carries, gaining 66 yards and securing 2 of the 7 touchdowns for the Dawgs. Sevaughn Clark, RB2, contributed with 5 carries for 32 yards, scoring an additional touchdown.

In the receiving game, WR1 Brock Bowers shone with 9 receptions, accumulating an impressive 121 yards and scoring twice. Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint covered crazy yardage, finishing the game with 3 receptions and 94 yards, averaging a remarkable 31.3 yards per reception. Arian Smith added to the excitement with a 12-yard reception that ended in a touchdown.
The Bulldogs' defense was nothing short of spectacular, with Dillion Bell, Mekhi Mes, and Brock Bowers each forcing a fumble. Xavien Sorey Jr. was a standout performer with 6 tackles, while Warren Brinson secured the only sack for the Dawgs. Tykee Smith topped it off with an outstanding interception.
Looking ahead, next week the Dawgs face off against the 4-0 Auburn Tigers on Saturday at 3:30 pm. Be sure to stay tuned for the recap after the game!
Shifting gears to baseball, today the Braves are set for a doubleheader against the Nationals to close out the series. Allan Winans takes the mound for game 1, holding a 1-1 record with a 4.50 ERA. Spencer Strider steps up for game 2, boasting an 18-5 record with a 3.73 ERA. In some quick rotation news, Charlie Morton has been placed on the 15-day IL due to finger inflammation, which is expected to extend through the NLDS. With the first seed in the postseason secured, the Braves are eyeing potential matchups against either the D-backs or the Phillies in the NLDS. They're inching closer to the 2019 Twins' record of 307 home runs with an impressive 296 this season. Stay tuned as we follow the Braves' quest to break the record!

Lastly, a brief update on the Falcons. They're set to face the Detroit Lions later today at 1 p.m. in Detroit. Both CB Jeff Okudah (foot) and RB Cordarrelle Patterson (thigh) are questionable for today's game and will be game-time decisions. Join us tonight for a recap of both the Falcons and the Braves on ATL ReKap.
